"Extraordinary place, charming and warm, pet friendly, amazing food and magnificent collection of clocks and paintings. The staff were extremely polite and welcoming and the price is great for such a cosy and beautiful village, just few miles away from Salamanca. One star less because of the noise during the night - the wall are thin, therefore the cry of a baby from upstairs, the dog on one side of the neighbour room and the TV one the other, all..."

"Surprising place: older construction but renovations have taken place. Bathrooms are sparkling clean. The real surprise came from the restaurant: the menu was rich of options and we had a fabulous dinner. A great address for those regularly travelling this route. Cherry on the cake : pet hyper friendly."

"Excellent budget hotel on main route back towards the Spanish ports. Owner seemed a bit grumpy but his trouble and strife and daughter were both very pleasant. Rooms were very clean if a tad dated but for the money you really couldn’t complain especially when considering the location. Bar served excellent ice cold San Miguel and the restaurant was very good with a varied menu presented in English for the un-educated like me."

"We are a UK retired couple that used Carolina as a stop over whilst travelling to catch the ferry from Santander. A gem of a find. For the price it was excellent. Everywhere was clean, the staff were friendly, the room absolutely fine, the evening food in the restaurant was particularly good, and the breakfast was good as well. See you again soon."
